The Blue Heron Bungalow in the charming fishing
village of Savage Harbour where fresh caught lobster is the seasonal delight
and the sight of ships and seabirds soothes the city weary soul. The sunny
shade bungalow is located on a spacious two acres viewing wide unspoiled fields
that sweep down to a small stream. It is just a kilometre stroll down a pretty
red clay road or a one minute ride to the nine miles white sand ocean beach
which runs along the Island's north shore world famous beach. Blue Heron
Bungalow is conveniently located on Highway 218 an all weather paved road, one
kilometre from Point DeRoche, three kilometres from
Mount Stewart, 8 kilometres from Morell, and 18
kilometres from PEI's capital city, Charlottetown.
The bungalow is an all season winterized house with cement basement and 3
bedrooms. It features vaulted pine wood ceilings with Tiffany style hanging
fixtures.
This charming and cozy house has a full bathroom and 6 ft. jacuzzi bathtub.
The master bedroom has a Queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 singles (or pushed
to make big bed); the third bedroom (just off the livingroom
has a Queen sofa bed and lazyboy chairs. An
efficiently small, fully equipped for housekeeping kitchen features smooth top
30” stove; 18 cu. ft. fridge, microwave, and all small appliances.
The livingroom is charmingly furnished with
comfortable chesterfield and chairs; the dining area has hardwood table and six
chairs. A 32 inch tv with
remote; vcr, dvd, is
located in the open concept livingroom diningroom. There are door walkouts from the front and back
of the house, accessing the 1136 square foot wraparound deck. At the westside of the spacious deck there is an attached screenroom gazebo.
Decks and gazebo are generously furnished with chaise lounges, patio tables and
chairs, and gas barbecue ... a peaceful place for family gatherings, dining al
fresco, or just lolling in the shade or sun, staring at the pastoral scene or
reading a good
book. Children's toys and games and a small wading pool are also provided on
the deck and lawn areas.
Blue Heron Bungalow is being offered for rent this first season for the
introductory price of $CDN1200 per week plus 10 percent provincial sales tax
for up to six people.
